Key findings
- Domino's has the biggest price gap between locations: its priciest restaurant charges 35% more than its cheapest for the same basket. Pizza Hut has the smallest gap, 0%.

Domino’s Leads India’s Restaurant CountDomino’s has the most restaurants in the map, with 2280 stores compared with Pizza Hut’s 918, McDonald’s 377 and Popeyes’ 69. Its cheapest listed state is Assam, with a median basket of ₹733.00.
McDonald’s Barely Budges Across IndiaMcDonald’s prices are essentially uniform across 377 stores, with just a 1% spread. Bengaluru, Karnataka, has the cheapest listed basket at ₹623.00, while Pune, Maharashtra, has the priciest at ₹627.00.

How the index works
Every day we check the menu at every US restaurant of each chain, using the same ordering app its customers use, and record each item's pickup and delivery price. Restaurants are compared on a basket of items that every full-menu restaurant of that brand sells, so a comparison is never skewed by a missing item. Restaurants with a limited menu, and prices that are clearly a menu code error, are left out of comparisons. "Typical" means the median restaurant.
